Both Canadians drew against IM's in round 5. A 116-move draw by Zachary Saine - down a P.

MJO just beat another IM in round 6! 5.5/6 - not sure if she's in the running for "male" norms.

Zachary Saine lost to a GM.

On facebook Maili-Jade Ouellet got Susan Polgars attention. She's leading the tournament with 5.5 out of 6. Thanks for the updates Hugh!

A win today should be enough for the IM norm.

You're right, I calculate a rating performance of 2461 for Maili-Jade. I replace only her lowest opponent rating of 1632 by 2050 like it is write in rules 1.46b and c of FIDE Handbook for IM norm.
