Pragga and Vidit had a real fighting game and Pragga ended up with a king hunt, maybe not checkmate but definite win of the queen.

Abdusattarov beat Bartel using a Dragon Sicilian! Maybe we will start to see some really interesting openings!

Rd 6 Big win by Pragga over Abdusattarov. Tactics, tactics, tactics. Abdusattarov missed the nice combo by Pragga which involved 38....Bd4 removing a key defender. The endgame involving bishop and knight vs rook (and several pawns each) was exceptionally nice.

Keymer sacks the queen vs Vidit and Vidit then plays badly and loses.

Bartel had a raging attack against Gukesh's king and ended up crushing.

Above three important results were all wins for Black. Reminds me of Adorjan's saying: "Black is ok" - its evident that Black is more than ok.

It looks like Maghsoodloo got punished in the opening, creative play and nice win by Nguyen.

You would think those important wins in round 6 would change the leaderboard. No. Abdusattarov had such a commanding lead that he is still a half point ahead of the field. The field however has tightened a lot. Three way tie for second and three more a half point back. Should be a very interesting finish to the tournament. From here on out almost anyone who gets hot could win.

Rapport is the only player undefeated but he has only one win. Both counts unusual.
