    Join chess legends GM Vishy Anand & GM Alexandra Kosteniuk at our live event on April 12, with documentary screening of "King Chess" to support a great cause!

    "Beyond the Board: Legends of Chess Give Back" is not just an event; it's an opportunity to make a difference in the field of brain and mind research, with the support of some of the most iconic figures in chess history. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated to supporting cutting-edge research at the Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases at the University of Toronto and Neuroscience and Mental Health at SickKids Hospital

    Viswanathan Anand: An Indian chess grandmaster and a former five-time World Chess Champion. He became the first grandmaster from India in 1988, and he has the eighth-highest peak FIDE rating of all time. In 2022, he was elected the deputy president of FIDE.

    Alexandra Kosteniuk: The 12th Women's World Chess Champion, known for her fierce competitive spirit and contributions to promoting chess among women. She was the Women's World Chess Champion from 2008 to 2010 and Women's World Rapid Chess Champion in 2021.

    Hosted by Nemo Zhou: WGM Qiyu Zhou (Nemo) is a Canadian chess player who holds the titles of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) and FIDE Master (FM), and is a live streamer on Twitch. She has been an under-14 girls' World Youth Champion, a Canadian women's national champion, and a Finnish women's national champion. Zhou has a peak FIDE rating of 2367 and a career-best ranking of No. 100 in the world among women. She is the first Canadian woman to earn the Woman Grandmaster or FIDE Master titles, and has represented Canada at the Women's Chess Olympiad since 2014.

    King Chess Documentary: King Chess is the story of eight Super Grandmasters that battle it out in the 2018 FIDE Candidates. This inside scoop covers all 14 grueling rounds while delving into cultural experiences including chess boxing, visual artists and top chess legends.

    Main legends in the film: Magnus Carlsen, Ding Liren, Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian, Vladamir Kramnik, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Wesley So, Alexander Grischuk, Sergey Karjakin and Anastasiya Karlovich.
