    Hi Hugh:

After 44 years at Scarborough Chess Club, it is my opinion it has remained "the friendliest chess club in Canada".

We just had a huge turnout (Many new members) for the annual Club Championship that started Thursday, March 21 (Championship section, Reserves Section (U 1600) and the Juniors' Section).

I think the Scarborough CC's slogan has also remained constant over the years. Are there any that claim to be friendlier?

They already had "Where the kibitzer is a chess piece" over 50 years ago!? They were very avant-garde.

    Hart House rebranding slogan

The Hart House Chess Club are going to conform to the age of wokeness and are going to rebrand their slogan "Where the kibitzer is King". You see, some people identify as Queens. Others may identify as bishops or knights. So the new slogan is now going to be "Where the kibitzer is a chess piece" to be more inclusive.
