Good luck and please bring home some FIDE rating points!

Yes, good luck to all Canadians. I looked at the ratings of Canadian players and was in shock. 2200 and 2100 ratings for former strong 2400's and a NM that is 1800.
Nona Gaprindashvili still heads the women's list at age 83!

Actually, both David Cummings and myself didn't lose too many rating points compare to our average rating last 10-15 years. My average is probably around 2270 FIDE and it's 2234 now - not a big deal.

I think, I am still overrated now, as my rating came mostly from different senior tournaments last 2 years (World Senior, Continental Senior, Canadian Senior, World Team Senior). I am not sure if I able to hold 2200 level in Canadian or American Opens, likely not.

We had a strong deflation last 10 years, I would say around 50-60 points at 2200-2300 level. The higher level - the less impact of this deflation.

In Round 3 live games, both Leon Piasetski, with a knight for two pawns, and Victor Plotkin, two pawns up, drew Grandmasters. Victor also drew another Grandmaster in round 2.
