90 minutes + 30 second bonus

Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm
Monday 10am - 4pm

Byes:
Half point byes must be requested before the previous round has started
Maximum two, point byes in rounds 1 - 4 only

Sections:
Based on most current rating before the tournament (Higher of FIDE, CFC / USCF)

FIDE and CFC regular rated:
2000 and above
1600 - 1999

CFC regular rated only:
1200 - 1599
U1200 and Unrated

Payment must be made while any date related discount is active

GM / WGM: Free
IM / WIM: 50% discount of relevant fee at time of entry

Early: $100 Before January 1, 2025
Regular: $110 January 1 - April 20, 2025
Late: $120 April 21 - May 15, 2025

Onsite: $130 After May 15, 2025 Cash Only (may receive a round 1 bye)

Play Up Fee:
$20 must be with 100 points of next section up
(based on most current rating before the tournament)

Maximum of $20 discount / player

Senior: Born on or before 1960 $10

Hi Lee:

For section placing, will you use the higher of CFC or FIDE ratings (Me: CFC: 1414; FIDE: 1581)?

With my FIDE being used, I could "pay to play up" into the 1600 - 1900 section.

Yes Bob, we will be using the higher rating. Bear in mind, ratings used will be as of the most recent updates before the tournament begins, so you might be qualified at that time by rating alone. We will of course offer refunds to those that choose the play up option and fall out of the 100 point range. Same for those that enter the range. As long as we are notified before pairings that someone wants to play up, that can be dealt with before the start.
