Eligibility: Ontario residents born on or after January 1, 2005; no rating restrictions; CFC membership required
Registration: On-line registration ends April 4th at 11:59 pm. No on-site registration will be accepted.
Capacity: up to 220 players
Time Control: 60 minutes + 30 seconds a move
Format: 5 Rounds Swiss (CFC regular rated)
Section: Open(1900+); U1900; U1400
Schedule:
Round 1: Saturday, April 5, 10 am
Round 2: Saturday, April 5, 2 pm
Round 3: Saturday, April 5, 6 pm
Round 4: Sunday, April 6, 11 am
Round 5: Sunday, April 6, 3 pm
The default forfeit time for any game is 30 min
Entry Fees: $ 80 ;$10 off if pre-registered before March 22nd, Please pay the entry fee via email transfer at chess4winofficial@gmail.com
Playing up: Add $20 if playing up. A player must be within 100 points of the rating floor for the section they wish to play up in.
Byes: Single half point bye in rounds 1-4 if requested before or during the tournament; zero points byes are allowed for round 5; All bye requests must be emailed to chess4winofficial@gmail.com
Prizes:
Special notes: The organizer will supply all chess pieces, chess boards, and clocks.; In case of equality of points the ranking will be decided by tie-break using 1) Direct encounter 2) Buchholz 3) Greater number of victory 4) sum of the rating of opponent
Cancellation Fees: No refunds will be issued. However, a credit will be kept for any future events organized by Chess4win
