John, where are you seeing this information? Chess Results shows 55 players Chess-Results Server Chess-results.com - 2025 Canadian Closed / Championnat fermé du Canada, though it hasn't been updated with pairings/results, and there are 7 live boards on lichess.

Thanks, Egidijus. This the link for pairings/results Chess-Results Server Chess-results.com - 2025 Canadian Closed / Championnat fermé du Canada

BTW, there are 55 players, which seems to me to be an excellent turnout.

              On the lichess page,
              https://lichess.org/broadcast/2025-c...bqzpSRG#boards

click the menu "Closed" and it will give you the option to watch 6 live games from the Women's section:

              https://lichess.org/broadcast/2025-c...und-3/btn5FbhI

They seem to be having DGT problems, since many of the results shown on lichess are clearly incorrect -- e.g. it's checkmate on the board and the score says 1/2 - 1/2.

You can see from this section over 1800 how underrated everyone is. Tough tournament.

Most of the top boards have entered endgames which I am enjoying.
