In response to so many of the players in the World Blitz Championship asking why they are not listed in our weekly bitz ratings, I have decided to rate that tournament which just finished in Moscow. Any of these players joining our Saturday Blitz will start with their rating as given below:

That would be a wonderful dream (2548). When I watch blitz games as a spectator I start thinking I too could play like that but look what it translates to when I do play blitz (2162):)

What were initial (starting) ratings? Have you recalculated for the every day (game, like live-rating)?

Hi,
Our ratings are calculated at the end of the event with formula:

(wins - losses) X 8 + or - ( 2% X no games) rating difference.
The starting ratings for the WBC were the posted FIDE ratings of each player.

And Hans, we have players who play every Saturday who would love to have a rating of 2162!
