It was interesting pairings for the last round as Team Canada played against Team FQE. David Cummings won a critical game on board 2 against Duong Thanh Nha, while I was able to draw with Alex Lesiege.

2.5-1.5 win in this match allowed us to share 4-10 place in final standing (our starting ranking was 18 out of 54 teams). Our tie-break was not great, so we finished 9th, which is still a very good result, significantly above my expectations.

USA won this tournament with small advantage over Italy and Kazakhstan, despite finishing with losing rating points. They won 6 out of last 7 Team Senior Championship.

It was a very pleasant journey overall, as it was our 6th championship since 2018 with the same (or almost the same - in 2023 Mike Doutherty was playing instead of David Cummings) line-up. Want to say thank you for my teammates David Cummings, Michael Barron and Ian Findlay.

I agree with Victor and thanks Victor for your work as Captain. One of the highlights for me, was that team Canada came 2nd in the bltiz tournament held on the rest day.
