Which means a three way tie for first with 7 points between Yunshan Li. Svitlana Demchenko and Morgen Mills. Are there playoffs? or are tiebreaks used?

You can see from this over 1800 section how underrated everyone is. Tough tournament.

I enjoyed all the games I watched. Congratulations to the organizers who pulled off a tough challenging tournament with no disputes that I heard about.

I want to make a special mention of Ryan Yang who gave his best and scored 2.5 out of 3 against IM's and a draw out of two against GM's. In another tournament of similar calibre he might have scored an IM norm.

Thanks for the shout-out (Post # 82 above - 25/4/22) ! I do admit to playing somewhat over my head this tournament.....not complaining!

I might add that I will have played a full 12 tournaments in Jan. 1 - June 30, 2025 (An average of 2 regular rated tournaments per month - club and weekend!!). Hopefully, my June 30 rating is going to be a few rating points higher than my one on Jan. 1 (1607).

I have loved my almost 60 years of chess, and being part of a vibrant Canadian chess community. I was lucky to have "fallen into" this great hobby/lifestyle.

                                Bob
