  • A Schlee Annotated Masterpiece

I had the pleasure of watching this game as it happened. Once we got back to my place Michael and I went back over it and I convinced him that he must annotate the game fully. It was harder to get Michael to write than it was Nick. This game first appeared in En Passant.

The move I like best is 20...exf6 and that pawn played a major role in the win of the game. Michael's notes are refreshingly down to earth and show the flexible thinking of a strong master. Its always nice to see when you sack your queen, your opponents queen struggling and eventually reduced to the role of spectator.
