          Welcome to the EM Sept 13th Students Challenge and Corporate Challenge.
          • The University entry had to be clubbed into Students Open

          The entries are on Chess-Results and please find links below.

          It would be 6 Rounds for all sections
          • All the registered players participating today in the Sept 13th Mega event are selected for Super GP on Nov 22nd.
          Due to the limited entries, the winner with 5/5 get in each of the 3 sections will get the below prizes
          • Personalized Chess Clock, 25$ Planet Laser Coupon and a 50% discount for an EM Tournament

          The match starts sharp at 2:30 PM and meet you all Wellington Square United Church, Burlington

            EM-Sep13 – Mega Challenge Top-3 from each section

            Mega Challenge Tournament Summary – 13 more enter Super Finals. All those played in the Mega event have reached the Finals to play on Nov 22nd

            Corp-50Plus Section: Surender Kumar with a 2100+ FIDE rating was untouchable with 5/5


            Surender Kumar Sharma won the Open with some tough fights

            The Open Section was tough and was very competitive. The Game between Surender Kumar and Gennadiy in the final round after both scored 4/4 in their opening matches was more of a decider. Surender Kumar showed his experience although Gennadiy was resilient but eventually had to cave in.


            Champion: Surender Kumar Sharma (5/5)
            Surender Kumar was experience personified throughout, utilized his experience to the fore to be the winner. Scoring 5/5 points he won apart from prize money, a personalized Chess Clock, a 25$ Planet Laser Coupon and a 50% discount for one EM Tournament

            Runner-up: Gennadiy Pasko (4/5)
            Gennadiy had a last Round challenging encounter with Surender Kumar. It was a close encounter but Surender showed his experience during crunch position to come out the winner

            Third Place: Ryan Were (3/5)
            It was a fight for 3rd place between Ryan and Shiva. In the last round, Shiva misplayed the middle game and lost a piece but came back strongly towards the end to win the material back but with pawns down. Ryan handled it well to come deserving Bronze


            Students Open Section: Tejas Avyan Garikapati after an initial loss to Moksh played the remaining well to win Gold

            Champion: Champion: Tejas Avyan Garikapati (5/6)


            Students 0-4 Section: LCS student Rudra Singh makes merry with 6/6!
