Kerry, that's the ransom message! I did a little digging and this looks like a huge issue. Many websites, not just Collingwood's, are down with the same ransom message. It's a vulnerability in cPanel / WHM which runs millions of small websites, especially Wordpress, worldwide. For any computer geeks reading, more info at CVE-2026-41940. If your run a website with cPanel, apply the patch asap!

FYI, collingwoodchessfestival.com is back up & running ... but looks like it was restored from an old backup (instead of paying the C$10,000 ransom). It has last year's registered players and dates (in some places). In particular, the dates are NOT May 9-11. Web hosting providers around the world will be extremely busy this weekend restoring thousands (millions?) of websites.
