I got many questions from players/parents of players who scored enough points for direct title. I sent title requests to FIDE on May 1, after the rating update. Usually, it takes about 2 weeks for FIDE to grant direct title, my understand that is this case they waiting for arbiter's report, which is beyond my control. Here is the list of players eligible for direct titles.

    1. FM

    Lucas Yao
    Roman Gavrilin
    Neil Moses

    2. CM

    Jordan Clyde
    Zeming Yin
    Eric Qian
    Jaipreet Dhaliwal
    Youcef Lattafi
    Nikita Kraiouchkine
    Zachary Liu
    Yash Darvekar
    Bingfei Wang
    Gerome Genzling
    Isaac Wiebe
    Rian Hartner (provisional rating)
    Daniel Zhang

    3. WCM

    Shuang Chen
    Erin Zhao
    Marife Dela Torre
    Zlata Butenko
    Svitlana Protsyuk

Yeah, that was a good motivation to go and calculate if the NM requirement was fulfilled. The happy diamond for about 15 years on chess.com

This cannot be understated, said the guy who managed to squeak across the Canadian NM title threshhold for 5 seconds and has enjoyed a free diamond membership on chesscom since. It also let me play in the Saturday Bullet Titled players event where I once started off with 3 wins and 28 losses and then was paired with Hikaru. (spoiler: I did not reach 4 wins)

    Thanks for the response.
I agree that CM and NM titles are less important since these don't count towards the minimum number of titled opponents someone is required to play against to be eligible for a GM or IM norm.

Does the CFC automatically claim the FM and WFM title for the player or does the player need to agree to accept the title?

    Answers.

    1. I finished with 6.5/9.

    2. Equal 1st makes direct IM title, which required 7/9 in this Zonal.

    3. Win in the last round against Raja would have earned direct IM title. I had some opening advantage, but never had a really winning position.

Many players got direct FM and CM (WFM and WCM in Women Zonal) titles. I will send many title requests after the next rating update tomorrow.

Raja Panjwani was so close. He finished with 6.5, a half point behind.
