Does anyone play chess at Gameknot? They've been offline for about 4 days. Anyone know why?

    Hi Peter
Yes I play on Gameknot. There were some times when I had to verify I was a human but I have not had any issues with playing or offline issues.

Thanks John. Can you access Gameknot right now? I haven't been able to get in since last weekend.

This is what I get when I try to access Gameknot via the usual method (icon on home page) or via Google search:

"There is an unknown connection issue between Cloudflare and the origin web server. As a result, the web page can not be displayed. ...
          Error Code: 520"

By this point I will have been forfeited in all my games so maybe it's best to make the switch to a new (and better?) chess site. Any recommendations?

Are you using a VPN address? That's a bummer. Maybe try to rejoin with a new account?

I dont know anything about GameKnot but lichess.org is completely free and very good in my opinion. LOTS of very capable opponents there...
I have completely given up on chess.com (it has a useless free level...) so lichess is it.
