Annex Chess Club is honored to organize the 2026 Toronto Open.
WHEN
Labour Day Weekend, Saturday September 5 to Monday September 7 2026

St. Casimir's Parish Hall, 156 Roncesvalles Ave, Toronto, ON M6R 2L4
FORMAT
Six-round Swiss tournament, 90 min + 30 Second Increment from move 1. Default time is 30 minutes from the posted start time of each round.
SCHEDULE
Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 10:00am and 4pm
ELIGIBILITY
No rating restrictions, multiple sections
Crown (min 2000 FIDE or 2200 CFC), U2200, and U1900 will be FIDE & CFC Rated.
U1600 and U1300 will be CFC only.
Section eligibility is determined by highest of FIDE/CFC/FQE.
Players rated within 100 elo of a section may play up for a $20 fee.
CFC membership or tournament rating fee required, and can be purchased at the event.
ENTRY FEES
Early Bird until August 8: $115
Regular Pricing from August 8: $135
Late Pricing from August 26: $150
Free entry for GM / WGM / IM / WIM
No onsite registration.
PRIZE FUND
$7,500 based on 250 entrants. $1,500 guaranteed for first place in Crown.
