Toronto Chess Club is launching the Fall 2026 Youth Circuit: eight complete, one-day CFC Quick-rated junior tournaments across Markham and Oakville.
Players may enter one event or play throughout the season. Markham and Oakville feed one shared leaderboard, with each player's best four regular-season results counting toward their total.

REGULAR-SEASON FORMAT
• Open (U18), U1100 and U800
• 5 rounds
• 15 minutes + 10 seconds per move
• CFC Quick-rated
• Recommended arrival: 9:40 AM
• Round 1: 10:00 AM
• Rounds 2–5 begin as soon as the preceding round permits
• Typical finish: approximately 2:00–3:00 PM
• No check-in required
ENTRY
• Individual event: $55 + HST
• Fall Season Pass: four regular-season entries for $140 + HST
CHAMPIONSHIP PATHS
Every regular-season event is a CYCC 2027 qualifier. A score of 2.5/5 or better qualifies the player.
Players qualify for the Winter Cup by either:
• finishing Top 3 in their section at a regular-season event; or
• earning 4 Circuit Points across their best four events.
One tournament point equals one Circuit Point.
WINTER CUP
Qualified players may register for the Winter Cup on Sunday, January 31, 2027 in Markham. It is a seven-round championship with a 10:00 AM first round, over $1,000 in prizes and top-female awards in every section. Entry is $80 + HST.
REGISTRATION AND CFC ID
A CFC ID is required. Junior CFC IDs are free, and paid CFC membership is not required for junior players.
Register online by 11:59 PM the night before each event. Registration is online only; walk-ins are not advertised.
