    Looking for another clock and was going to buy the DGT2010 but maybe this is enough @ only $50. What's the "North American" part all about? And how is it different from the higher end $99 DGT2010, i.e. what features are missing?

    I'm currently using a Saitek and a Chronos Blitz.

      Hanon Russell of Chesscafe worked with the folks at DGT to have the common time controls in the U.S. pre-programmed into the North American version. Here is a summary of the features of both clocks:

      DGT 2010 Digital Chess Clock
      features the following types of time controls: Time Rapid and Blitz; (2) Time + Guillotine; (3) 2 x Time + Guillotine; (4) Time + Repeating Time; (5) Bonus (“Fischer”); (6) Delay (“Bronstein”); (7) Time + professional byo-yomi; (8) Time + Canadian byo-yomi (“Overtime”); (9) Hourglass; and (10) Gong (“Lightning”) This DGT 2010 Digital Game Timer has been designed to be used as game clock for various two-person board games, especially Chess, Go and Draughts.
