Mackinnon and Hebert are putting on fairly good performances. Mackinnon has worked his way up with a few wins to face top seed GM Sokolov (2649) with black in round 7. Hebert just defeated GM Cornette (2544) and faces GM Chanda (2622) with black as well. Good luck!

Anyone happen to know of which tournament (let's divide them into two groups: continental & non-continental) outside of Canada would've seen the largest population of Canadian players in it during one year? What happens if we include players that are or were at one point living in Canada? So far as Canadians currently playing abroad, this is looking about as well as what Canada normally sends to an Olympiad.
