CHESS TOURNAMENT – March 27, 2010
Horizon Cricket Club invites all chess players (Rated, unrated, Beginners to Grandmasters) to compete in the 2010 CANADIAN RECREATONAL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP.
When: Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM
(Registration from 10:00 to 10:30 AM)
Where: Holiday Inn
NW corner of Hwy 7 (Queen St) & Hwy 27.

Cost: Only $20 per player
Prizes: Lots of trophies & prizes. Plus the title of 2010 Canadian Recreational Chess Champion.
Sections: CLICK HERE FOR SECTIONS. 24 sections to choose from. Players can compete at their own skill level. There are 24 important TITLES to be won, with lots of trophies (& prizes) at each level:
Type of tournament: Swiss 4 rounds, with a 5th round finals. 30 minute game
Round times: 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm
Presentation: 5:15 to 5:30 pm
What to bring: Chess pieces & chess clocks (Boards will be provided)
Preregistration: Seating is limited. Pre-registration: is required to reserve a spot. To pre-register, simply provide the following information:
Name of player
Approximate ratings or preferred section (see below)
Phone number

OUR PRE-REGISTRATION POLICY
(1) To pre-register for a tournament, simply send an email (or phone) and provide the following: (a) The name of the player (b) The section (or ratings) and (c) The contact phone number.
No payment is required. Payment will be collected on tournament day.
(2) The number of seats is limited. Pre-registration guarantees a spot for you until 10:30 AM on tournament day.
(3) If you have pre-registered and, for any reason, you are unable to attend, please notify us to cancel. This will allow us to fill your spot with someone else – as the number of seats is limited.
