    HI Bob;

    You left out an important part of John's Flyer where it says " Unrated players are only eligible for an unrated Prize if available."

    I still have nightmares of the recent Hamilton Open ;-).

      I had requested the chess administrator of Buffalo Chess Corner http://buffalochess.blogspot.com/ if he can post the flyer in their website and he responded immediately. Let's just hope that some visitors from Buffalo will come down to join this consistently well-attended and successful event at Niagara Falls.
      FYI,

            No Lee what it says is that if an unrated prize is available then the Unrated can win that prize only. If there is no unrated prize offered then the Unrated can win any prize that is not a CLASS Prize. It is an open you know.
            It was put there to stop sandbaggers ( ie players outside of Canada who have no CFC rating ) from entering and wanting to win a class prize.

                  Soon. John Jordan, our statistician is working on it, some changes were needed. It should be on display in Niagara Falls. :)
