We are pleased to report after March registrations, we have about 45 players!
Please note that if you recently mailed your payment, but have not yet received a confirmation email from me, that I will check the post office box again next week, and reply back to you. If you mailed it before March 31st, that's good for the March $30 triple-early discount.
For new players, please note that April is the month for the $20 double-early discount (and May is the month for the $10 early discount). To be fair to the dozens of players who have already paid up, I will be staying true to these postmark cutoffs. As I will not be attending the RA Chess Club until May, the only way to pay for registration during April, will be via mail. If you do not use cheques, then if I may suggest, just get a postal money order at the post office.
N.B. As this event occurs after the end of the University school year, travelling players can get great deals to stay in the residences of Carleton University, which is a convenient walking distance from the playing site. It is not right next door, but close enough, and includes free breakfasts! :)
Yours in chess,
Aris Marghetis, FIDE Arbiter
Organizer/TD, EOCA President
