Whoever wins the match, let's hope that international chess is the real winner after an exciting, well organized, sportsmanlike match.

The bookmakers -- and the polls -- have Anand as the favourite. What odds will someone give me for a bet on Topalov?

        Latest betting odds:

Topalov: 2.05 to 2.10 to win the match.
Anand: 1.65 to 1.82 to win the match.

In addition - http://www.paddypower.com allows you to bet on the under/over number of moves (38.5 for game 1), and whether the number of moves played will be an odd number or an even number.

What, no betting on how many times each player will blink during the match?

I've been calling it for Topalov since last year. It seems that Topalov is both the underdog and the less popular of the two players. I don't understand this but maybe it has more to do with Topalov's manager Danailov, who can be pushy. A number of senior arbiters have described Topalov's behaviour at the board as "very correct".
