  • Questions about Cdn Open

    1. In Ottawa there was a room set aside to review games from Open I believe Deen Hergott was doing it. Is anything like that going to be in 2010 CdN OPEN?

How many GM's are pre-arranged to give lectures simuls ?

How many days will the AGM run ?

The CFC Annual Meeting is Monday and Tuesday. The FA Seminar is Wed-Thurs-Friday. There is also a kids camp in the hall for half a day; the other half of the day they will be on the Island.

Like the Toronto Open, There is a lovely skittles room with sponsor displays. Were you hoping to have a master go through your game? Is that what Hergott did in Ottawa? It's a good idea that's been done at junior tournaments. Could also have a computer available for Fritz notes and being able to submit the games to a database.

Some of the GMs want to give lectures and simuls, likely in the Skittles room, but nothing has been finalized. The date of the speed tournament has also not been finalized. The last game of the World Cup of soccer makes a hole on the first Sunday afternoon after 2:30 pm. Colud have something earler on Sunday.I'm also interested in having some fun events such as Bughouse Doublechess, chess960, or Kriespiel, or match of east of Yonge Street versus west of Yonge street.
