  • US Chess tournaments 2010

Here's the tournaments in US from July to Dec 2010.

July 16-18 or 17-18: CHICAGO CLASS CHAMPIONSHIPS. No residence requirements, 5 rounds, Doubletree Oak Brook in Chicago's western suburbs. Free parking. $20,000 prize fund unconditionally guaranteed.

July 23-25 or 24-25: BRADLEY OPEN. 5 rounds, Sheraton Hotel at Bradley Airport, Windsor Locks, CT. $8000 guaranteed prizes.

Aug 6-8 or 7-8: NORTHEAST OPEN. 5 rounds, Holiday Inn Select, Stamford, CT. $8000 guaranteed. Downtown location, free parking, trains from NYC, Westchester and Connecticut run frequently. The publicity in Chess Life, the above link and the USCF website are correct.

Re: US Chess tournaments 2010 (NA open Las Vegas)

Hi, just wondering if anyone is possibly going to this tournament (North American Open 2010 - Las Vegas ) ? Prize fund looks attractive and it's a perfect time (for a student) of the year to travel down to the States. If I do go, it would be nice to see some Canadian players there (or better yet any players from Ottawa) :) .
If you are going let me know via lfarah3@connect.carleton.ca .. or by posting.

    Thanks!
