  • Brantford Food Bank Report

14 courageous chess players fought off the incoming stormy weather to compete for the Second Annual Food Bank Tournament. When the clouds had cleared, Erwin Casareno emerged victorious in a playoff over Mike Egorov both scoring 5/6.

Adam Cormier obliterated Lee Hendon (4/6) in a playoff, to take 3rd place.

Randy Fintas won the U1500 section with an impressive 3.5/6
Roy Jones was 2nd in the U1500 with a not too shabby 3/6

Thanks to all players as we raised $150 and bunch of food for the Brantford Food Bank. Photos to come soon

Yeah it was a pretty good event, a bit hot but not too bad, got more experience, analyzed more opening lines, a worthwhile tournament.
University and Chess, a difficult mix.
