  • HCCC Summer Open games

    Hello everyone,

This are the games from round 1. Other games will follow, just be patient :).
Just one to make sure that everyone can open chessbase format and rar files.
    Thanks.

Nevermind I got it to work, I think there are some games missing, Adam cormier vs WIM yuanling is missing, not sure about any others.

      Hey Mik-E

it might be easier for everyone if you save and post it as a CBV file.
      do that via: Tools/database/backup database

BTW: I find it's a good idea to test the CBV file by double-clicking it to make sure it opens... I use CB9 and about 40% of the time it tells me it has successfully made a CBV backup, but it hasn't.

(I emailed Chessbase about this but they haven't fixed it)

        Hi Adam,

Sorry, I will include that game and re-post it tonight.

        Hi John,

Thanks for heads up. I will save and re-post it in .CBV file.

One nitpick: the first and last names need to be reversed/switched.

Are games from the other rounds forthcoming?

              Re: HCCC Summer Open games

These two files are different then before, when I opened up the first one I had several options (.cba .cbb .cbc .cbe .cbg .cbg .cbgi .cbh etc...) now with these two new downloads only have 1 option when I open them(HCCC Summer open.cba-type: chess base database)

The only option that works for my chessbase light 2009, is HCCC Summer Open round 1.cbt (CBT file)

So your two new downloads have only the .cba file(chessbase database, which doesn't work for me, no idea why)

So if you could add more options it would be most appreciated.

Here are games from round 3: in PGN and Chessbase formats. I am re posting
round 2 games in PGN format. Also round 1 game was missing game:
Adam Cormier - WIM Yuanling Yuan. So I included both formats for round 1 as well.

                  Re: HCCC Summer Open games

Round 3 seems to be the only "correct" PGN file; rounds 1 and 2 are Chessbase files with PGN in the filename. I will try to collect all the posted games together later tonight and re-post them in CBV and PGN formats.

                    Re: HCCC Summer Open games

How rude, you spelled my name wrong, in round 1 against WIM yuanling you spelled it Carmier. Just kidding it doesn't matter, :)

In round 2, 4 games are given as lines(no end result) I'm not sure if that is the end of the games or not

                    the games are:

                    Brammel, S vs Sellars, K
                    Wang, J vs Deline, R
                    Demmery, S vs Zhao, K
                    Wight, K vs Mcglynn, D

I have posted the 38 available games (rounds 1-3) on the CanBase site. Mikhail - can you verify that names, results, etc. are correct? I had to correct quite a few name spellings.
