    Hi Hugh;

    Could you kindly post the link for the Garde Site re their Digital Clock. I seem to have lost where you posted it on an earlier post here on chess talk.
    Thanks

    I don't remember which site I gave you, but amongst what Google displayed for "garde digital clock" I got the following:

      Re: Question For Hugh Brodie re Digital Clocks

      I have always like the classic look and feel of the GARDE analog clocks, and from the picture, this digital one seems very nice. However, I'm wondering if anyone here has one, and can comment on the choice of programs, how many user programs can be saved, etc. Of course, comments about the button action and visibility also welcome.

      Thanks and regards, Aris (owner of aging Saiteks)

        I wanted to buy (However, it was an early digital version which as per Larry was not so great.

        The manual of the new clock:
        http://www.garde.de/manual_schachuhr...ctronic_gb.pdf
        or you can find in other languages too (the main page is in German): http://www.garde.de/html/bedienanleitungen.shtml

          Thanks, but looking at that documentation, it isn't obvious to me where you could save custom settings, which could be kind of important, as many "standard" (in Ottawa / Ontario / Canada) time controls we are used to don't seem to be part of the default list?

          Also, I find it absolutely mind-numbing, is that on the first page of the documentation, the drawing of the chessboard is with a black square on the right?! Are you kidding me?!

            same to me :) Maybe only one settings is saved: you set one time control, and it is kept in memory until another time control is chosen
