They are making the claim that the book has been completely rewritten.

I would expect CMA to carry it.

I just got my hardcover copy from Silman-James Press; an early Christmas present. :) The book is gorgeous and arrived in perfect condition. They even threw in a t-shirt with the image of the book cover on the front.

It was $50 US and shipping was free. If anyone likes chess books, you may want to consider getting this. Write to info@silmanjamespress.com if you're interested.

Because I have never felt I need to choose sides in this matter, I can freely state that I have enormous respect for Kevin and everything he has accomplished in chess. I can say the same about Larry.

No one should be immune from criticism. But, I only respect criticism that addresses specific behavior(s). A broad brush approach to attacking anyone never impresses me.

I personally think Kevin is having a laugh over all those who are chomping at the bit to read his "exposé". What's that joke that kids tell: "How do you keep a moron in suspense?" :)

I'm on record as saying that buying chess books from amazon is short-sighted.

Yes? Amazon usually sells for less than the list price. It would be surprising if they did not.

I had a pleasure meeting Jeremy Silman in person at North Bay tournament.
I used to own this classic and in fact bought from the man himself. It also helped to gain 200 rating points or so. He was doing analysis of people games, and even analysed few grandmaster games for live audience. I found his live commentary simple and instructive. I will definitely be picking this great classic as well. :D
