    Re: Womens World Ch - Dina Kagramanov

    According to FIDE, released today knockout pairings Dina is on board 5 against;

    Dzagnidze, Nana (GEO) 2551

    Any information on this player...type...what she prefers to play?

      As White, she is a 1.d4 player.

      Her opening varies and she mixes up thigns.

      1.d4 Nf6 2. Bg5
      1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 nf6 4.Nc3

      etc.

        As Black, she uses the Queen's Indian and Nimzo Indian.

        Against 1.e4 , she adopts the Caro Kann with Bf5 lines.

        She mixes it up with the Sicilian.

          I played her in an under 12 WYCC...needless to say she crushed me...

          good luck Dina, and I'm sure you have a big database of Dzaganidze's game...

          on a more personal note, we met Dzyaganidze (my Romanian friend playing for USA, Sabina and I) at the Munich airport in our layover on the way to the Khanty-Mansyisk Olympiad. as we were introduced I said to her "I think I know you..." wanting to continue with "we played 10 years ago". she quickly cuts me off and says "you should know me"

          anyways, so Dina, this calls for revenge :) let's make our Canadian Women memorable to top Georgian stuck-ups :)
