Does anyone have any idea how come Natalia Khoudgharian is not playing? We are a Zone, and she won the 2007 Canadian Women's Championship and Zonal, so she qualified from the Canadian Zone. What happened?

Perhaps she simply could not afford to go? Or could not arrange time off from work/studies/home - whatever she is doing... I don't recall the CFC or anyone else providing any money toward the expenses.... perhaps I am mistaken about that? :)

I didn't see anyone from Canada listed on the qualification list here:

Which Zone is Canada? or are we lumped with US ?

Women's World Championship / Interzonal airfare was paid by the CFC for as long as I can remember. That was when (and even before) the business office was funding the CFC. Now that the CFC is funding the business office, the old considerations no longer apply.
