What: CFC regular-rated chess tournament
Win or lose, each player plays 4 games

When: Saturday, 20 November, 2010
9.30 am till about 7.00pm.
Round one is at 10.00

Where: University of Windsor, Erie Hall (on Sunset), Room 1114
Free parking in the bookstore parking lot across the street (green on the map)

Format: Probably one section, exact format to be determined on the day of the event

Time control: 60 mins per player per game (no increment)
All chess equipment provided, including Saitek III digital clocks
Players must record the moves

CFC membership: Annual membership, $43 for adults, $27 for juniors.
Single tournament membership ("T-option") $20 adults, $10 juniors.

So far for November 20th we have three 2200+ and one 1900+ player who have indicated that they would be playing. The top section usually has a bottom cutoff of 1800 to 1900.

For those under those rating ranges, we will also have a couple other sections.

We'll have U1900 and U1500 section.

Hopefully we'll get a few more by tomorrow to have an even number. With that group we can have a round robin but that will lengthen the day if someone has to sit out a bye every round and everyone gets in four rounds. I'm looking forward to it.

Looks like its the usual round robin and a third. Hopefully you can make it out for one of these events. We are also looking at doing a two day FIDE rated event possibly in March. We might make it a SWOCL event as well if we can figure out what we have to do to make that happen.
