    and possibly the title.

GM Hou defended with the Sicilian Scheveningen and had to overcome the advantage of GM Ruan that was achieved with the e5 push, creating 3 pawn islands. GM Hou temporarily sacrifced her d5 pawn but maintained the initiative with her bishop pair. Note the dislocated white knight at the edge of the board (a4).

In the middle game, GM Ruan had chances but missed 21.Bd4. With 21.Bd5, GM Ruan cedes the advantage of the bishop pair. It looked like she could do something with the a1-h8 diagonal before she exchange her queen. But when the queens were exchanged, the bishop pair of GM Hou reigned supreme.

    Here the moves:

At this point in time, i am wondering whether it time for a match between GM Hou Yi Fan and GM Judith Polgar to see who is the best female chess player in this world.

Who do you think will win?

This is synonymous to a recent post here on who do you think is the strongest Canadian player at the moment:

GM Sambuev, GM Bluvstein, or GM Spraggett?

I vote for GM M. Bluvstein.

You can not really compare the players mentioned. Judith Polgar is in a semi-retired mood, as well as Spraggett. Sambuev and Bluvstein play in different type of tournaments, even on different continents :-)
