Dale Haessel gets FM title

After doing the legwork himself, Dale Haessel has received the F.M. title from FIDE. Dale had met the requirements for the title as far back as the 1990's but the title was never applied for until recently. Dale received his title last week. Congratulations Dale on this well deserved achievement.

Is not Cornelia Dinca (AB) in the same situation for WFM title. How about the IM title for Adam, Dr. Valerian (BC)?

I believe that Cornelia doesn't play chess anymore. When she did I remember asking her if she wanted the title and she said no.

11.1 For the application of titles, the following amounts will be charged to the federations of the players concerned, provided these applications are filed at least 60 days before the start of the annual Congress:
(Woman) Grandmaster: 330 Euro
(Woman) International Master: 165 Euro
(Woman) FIDE Master: 70 Euro
(Woman) Candidate Master: 50 Euro
International Arbiter: 100 Euro
FIDE Arbiter: 50 Euro
International Organizer: 100 Euro
FIDE Instructor: 100 Euro
FIDE Trainer: 200 Euro
FIDE Senior Trainer: 300 Euro

I can not say now what is covered by the CFC. (GM, IM?)

The fees were not a part of her decision, as the ACA or the Calgary Chess Club would have gladly paid the fees.

She told me that she would be embarrassed to have WFM listed in front of her name, that people wouldn't take this title seriously.
