This morning's game Nakamura-Kramnik was an early draw.
But the game du jour must be McShane-So in the B Group which looks like a battle royale shaping up>>>

Plenty going on in this final round! It looks like Mark is rolling Ivanisevic - hopefully finishing +2. Navara looks awfully comfortable with white against McShane, who appears cramped and low on time. Maybe Navara will overextend?

Meanwhile Nakamura has left an exchange offer on the board against Hao, Anand has R vs N+p against Nepo and Carlsen is living dangerously as Black against Grischuk. All this before breakfast.

Very exciting tournament... I've always felt that Mr. Nakamura was an elite player that should have been invited to these tournaments earlier in his career. This stellar result shows the world that he is one of the best. Very impressive win in perhaps the most prestigious tournament in the world.

A very strong tournament. Current WC. Former WC's. Top Players. Is this the RR tournament of the decade so far?

Which ones? Linares and Sofia probably will be not held this year (from the chesscenter "It seems very unlikely that we will have a Linares tournament this year (all has gone silent on that front according to Miguel Illescas in commentary on ICC although Van den Berg said that local elections may have an impact), Sofia too is almost certain not to happen.")

and he has already played in Tal's and London :D

                      *-*-*

congr. to H.N. A very solid result.

                      congr. to M.C. for winning top-5 :D

H.N., had you played again a crazy-overnight blitz match vs somebody? :D

A magnificent result, the measure of which is that the news has even made its way into the Huffington Post, one of the major US Internet news services. The article is by GM Lubomir Kavalek and is highly recommended, especially since you can follow Kavalek's excellent annotations in an interactive PGN format:
