  • Canadian FIDE ratings deleted

Does anyone know why the Canadian Chess FIDE ratings got deleted? I know that in the past this happened to federations that didn't pay their FIDE dues. Is that the case with us?

I see all the Canadian ratings there.

(and I'm ranked 71,333 in the world!)

In a way, this is a significant achievement. With 7 billion people in the world, only in cities with more than 100,000 people is it likely that there be chess players at least as strong as you.

At the time of your post, I wasn't able to access ANY FIDE ratings so I think it is more likely the rating system was just down for some reason.

Its just that only the Canadian ratings were down, but its back to normal now.

There are lots of things that we can panic about, missing FIDE ratings is not one of them:) You are right though, I think that they were just being updated by FIDE.
