We expect to be broadcasting the games live on MonRoi's website starting tomorrow. We will continue to post pairings here as well.

The tournament coverage is off to a disappointing start to say the least. Still no games this morning and links like "schedule" (pretty important to know when to log in to follow the games) and "prizes" are still "under construction" which is hard to understand.

Presumably by Monday it will be up and running but by then the tournament will be more than half over and many people will have given up on trying to follow what is happening. Not too good for sponsors...

Was it not possible (and obviously desirable) to set up and test the whole thing BEFORE the event ? The last time in 2009 I was not home trying to follow the event on the internet, but I was told that trying to know what was happening in Guelph turned out to be quite frustrating. Are we in for a similar experience with the Closed and Monroi this year ?

        Oh Jean, always mister negative.

I see a Canadian Closed off to a great start,
        a strong lineup,
        excellent site,
        corporate sponsors,
        mon roi coverage,
        pairings and results posted,

I think I'll drop by this afternoon to see the action. :D

        Congratulations Hal and company. :)

Yes, but if he merely followed the games on Monroi, people would accuse him of not being interested enough to drop by! ;)

Some of the games on MonRoi website are displaying misleading situations on the chessboards! What's going on?

I've noticed this too. The Jung game is very entertaining!

I noticed that just now too (first time I have looked via Monroi at this tournament). There certainly seems to be a problem.
All the more reason for people to drop by in person if possible! lol

According to the schedule all games are supposed to start at 10:00 a.m. Right now, it is 11:28 a.m. and there is no any games displayed on Mon Roi website!

                            Hi Caesar:

Not much consolation, but there is being broadcast one game - Haessel - Drkulec.

Seems strange they can get one and not the rest. These technical glitches are a bummer, especially on the weekend when people have some time to watch.

I'm working on the issue. The devices have been broadcasting the entire round; however, it seems they had not been making it to the website, which escaped my attention, as they were showing up fine on my end. Anyway, as far as I can tell, the games are up now (ignore the first two). I'll continue to monitor the situation.
