  • HS day two from Kingston

Day two was the busiest, with three rounds for two of the three sections and the annual meeting being highlights.

Ottawa master Karolyi Szalay leads the top group with a perfect 4 points, half a point ahead of his Lisgar HS teammate Jerry Xiong. Under event rules the two cannot meet as they are on the same team. I'll have some games for chess5 on Monday.

The meeting was productive, with lively discussion. New rules for tiebreaks, banning devices from the hall, and conduct will be developed, and next year's event will likely be held in Toronto. IA Larry Bevand added much valuable input, and offered to be more involved in future.

The two protests from day one are resolved, with inexperience being at the heart of the matter in both cases.

It wraps up today. More later.
