Jesse Wang is the surprise leader in the U18 Open. What is remarkable is that he started with a loss in round 1 but kept his fighting spirit to win 4 games in a row.
The question that i have been asking is:
1. Will IM Arthur Calugar be able to finish on top of the standings with 2 rounds to go?
Well, 2 rounds is still a long way to go. I compare it to 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter of a basketball game.
2. Also interesting are the results of FM Roman Sapozhnikov, Michael Kleinman, and Alexander Martchenko.
This is shaping up to be a nail-biting final 2 rounds.........may the best player wins.....
I feel that this is the batch of Canadian chess players where the next Canadian GM is coming ..........
