  • Montreal Open Championship Sept. 9 to 11 – register now !

A third master confirms his presence at the Montreal Open : Jean Hébert, winner of the 2009 event.

Register now to avoid the last minute rush. Until the end of August, a 20 $ rebate applies compared to the entry fee at the door. If in the meantime you have to withdraw for whatever reason, your entry fee will be refunded until September 7 inclusive, less 10 $.

Starting today the list of pre-registered players is published on the tournament site (click “Participants”) and will be updated periodically.

Re : Montreal Open Championship – rate of play

The rate of play at the Montreal Open was set so as to have a maximum game duration of approximately four and a half hours.

This was allowed by FQE in order for us to stage on Sunday evening a buffet with wine, followed by a closing ceremony that could end at a reasonable time. As a side effect (bonus ?), players will be able to go home a bit earlier Friday night and Saturday night and have more time to recover in view of their games the next day.

To help you adjust your electronic clock, we publish the manual setting procedure for three popular models.

Owners of other models : if you mail us the steps for your clock championnatdemontreal@gmail.com we will publish them here.
