    End of Round 1 for Canadians (sorry about title mixup):

    Looks like Mark got a draw in game 2,
    but that means he lost the round 1.5-0.5
    and Eric Hansen lost his second game,
    leaving him on the losing end of 2-0.

    What's interesting is that Leko got knocked out by Sam Shankland in the same line that Eric played against Gashimov. While Eric deviated with Nd2 ( I don't know the main lines of this too well) Sam seemed to have played the main line of Bf4 and navigated into a better position where they just agreed to a draw. I'm not sure which line is better, but it's interesting that Leko played the same thing that Gashimov did to try for a win

      I like the Bf4 line better.

      This is the snippet I've been using for that Benoni variation.
