RA Chess Club 2011 Nigel Short simul result:

Nigel scored +24 =1 -2 in a marathon 6 hour simul (last game ended just before 1 am).

David Gordon and Mate Marinkovic won, and Stijn de Kerpel drew.

Special note: the Club's newest (and smallest?) young member Qiyu Zhou held off Nigel for 68 moves before conceding a Rpp v Rp ending and the last game to finish.

I'll post a full report on the RACC website next week.

I dropped in at 11pm to watch the last games, and it was an exhilerating chess scene! It was incredible watching Mr.Short and his opponents battle for the many spectators!
