The 15 minute Rapid is played from 2pm every Saturday
at the Rails & Ales Sports Bar, 1106 Danforth (1 1/2
blocks east of the Donlands subway station).

Entry fee is $30 - cash prizes for winners in rating
groupings as well as the top two or three over all.

There will not be a Rapid next Saturday October 8 due to the conflict with the Thanksgiving Open. We will resume play Saturday October 15.

Tomorrow's Rapid is not to be missed! There should be some new faces
as several entries were awarded at last weekends Thanksgiving Open.
These were to:-
Arthur Calugar for his brilliant 27th move ....Qg4 against YC Zhang
Nikita Gusev for his major upset win over Artiom Samsonkin
Daniella Belc for long term support of women's chess
Alex Ferreira for his instrumental work in promoting tournaments at Hart House.
Lawrence Day in hopes that he will include more local coverage in his
Toronto Star chess column.
Although not all will be there this Saturday, some will. Also, these entries are
fully funded so the prize fund will be increased accordingly!
