  • Ottawa Autumn Open: draft tournament results

Hi chess fans, due to posting size limits I will post each section as a separate reply.

Realistically, I am too tired to do more tonight. However, I encourage the following players, who left before taking their prize cheque, to please email me their snail mail address :

    Roman Sapozhnikov
    Tom O'Donnell
    David Forget
    Kevin Wan

Thanks Aris, enjoyable chess experience as usual.

However, when I awoke this morning I felt like I was recovering from being beaten by a gang of Ottawa thugs led by Tom...

Clearly Joey and Roman are unbelievably talented, practical players, with a great chess future ahead of them.

Hi Brian, thanks for the kind words. You were, as usual, an awesome class act, and as I was telling Brad today, it was just wonderful to see you reconnecting with old chess acquaintances. The mix in the round-robin top section seemed like a very good one, with the youngsters, as you mention, repeatedly demonstrating scary strong futures.

                  Thanks...I should have also mentioned:

                  (1) I awoke from a knightmare with Tom chuckling like Pinky & the Brain

                  (2) Bator should have been awarded 6 points out of 5, for not only pounding everyone, but also for his creative play and kind demeanor

                  Brian
