Re: Chess in the Library in Aurora, ON

Many players came to the first meeting for one or more casual games, met old and new friends or talked about old-times.

The front row (only backs) from the left: Davis Lawless (chessquotes, optimistchess) and me :)

It was a good turn out... hopefully the Library will be in agreement, once a week would be much better than once a month. However there are things in the works where we will start meeting at cafes etc.

Re: Chess in Starbucks in Aurora, ON

Saturday "Chess in" series were extended to Chess in Starbucks. As it was not much publicized the turnout was sufficient to occupy several tables and to leave some for others to kibitz from a far distance. The games went through all kind of stages, mostly talks dominated and take-backs (and advices ) were allowed.
Pictures - some might appear on the AuroraCC website in the near future.
