    Australians
Fail-No content. The instant signup for the newsletter is good and newsletter is free

    NZ
Good news/pics but color scheme is awful

    English Chess Federation
Nice news/pics but very cluttered appearance on homepage

    Iceland
Looks professional but no current news. No reason to come back

    CFC
Looks nice. News content minimal. Daily puzzle ok but no reason to keep coming back.

Overall no clear winner but ECF and NZ better than their peers in the group.

        USCF http://main.uschess.org/
Very good visual impression and effective.

Nice news. Color not in love with but ok.
-Good social Internet connecting with social media using Twitter etc
-Excellent right menu with call to financial action(Donate, Becoming a benefactor
-Center col nice magazine lead in
-Nice connection to US corr chess as related activity
-Left menu good sponsor ads effective but not too loud and graphic based. Good appeal for other sponsors
-Tracks users with login(good for marketing)
-Excellent Chess Life Online as self-advertising

Could improve on emphasizing joining the USCF and related benefits.

Overall a solid A, and clearly the best I have seen of English speaking national federation sites

What I don't like about the USCF web page is that it takes several clicks to get to the rating page (why not a direct link, or even a name search box on the main page? I assume most people go to the site looking for their rating).

Also (I could be mistaken) - if you want to see a crosstable of an event, you need to know the name of someone in the event; search for his rating; click on the event in his tournament history. Unlike the FQE page, you can check tournament histories of (current) non-members.

Trivial note: the 1997 Canadian Open (Winnipeg) was USCF-rated. :-)
(do a search for "Spraggett" and check his tournament history)
