            Great Work Rene!

Just a quick thumbs up to Rene Preotu for his solid performance as Chief Arbiter.

Rene has now completed the requirements for his FA title. After his previous work in Guelph as Chief Arbiter I was convinced that I would be able to play, and leave the Arbiting to him.

It was a thrill to play - every game was a blast.

                Guelph Winter Pro-Am

I wasn't quite able to interpret this scoresheet (see hopeful attachment). I'd entered a few of the games on the iPhone's stockfish, a fairly useful chess program, for those seeking potential recommendations of decent viewers or chess player interfaces. Maybe someone can clear up the game-sheet and make a bit more sense of it.

Re: Guelph Winter Pro-Am Feb 11-12

Possibly 13....Rfc8, and 14....Qd8 (otherwise Black's Q is hanging). The subsequent moves are hard to decipher.

That's about as far as I can get shouldn't there be a second score sheet:)

                      Guelph Winter Pro-Am - mostly rounds 2-3 & tournament winner Samsonkin's 1st game

Thanks for the help, guys. I don't have an analytical engine on the iPhone that will kibitz a score in human vs human mode to check for errors. Apparently also the iMac's chess program doesn't read in pgn or pgn lists by default (it outputs one pgn game at a time), rotates the board on each ply by 180*, and I was also on Mac's help line to see why voice recognition wouldn't tell apart Pawn b4 from Pawn d2 to d4. Doesn't seem to be much for phonetic alphabet extensions or voice recognition, but I'd not yet checked for that stuff since that one isn't online yet.

Thanks for posting. I'm cleaning up the headers with round numbers, ratings, etc. I'll post a link to the "cleaned up" PGN when I'm done.
