CCC Discussing Chess - Posts of Interest ( Week of March 29 - April 5/12 )

Recently in the European Individual Championships, there have been a number of forfeits due to players being late for the start of the game, sometimes by only seconds, sometimes due to a time change. This is a result of the FIDE " Zero Tolerance " Rule.

    Is this good for chess?

Though the Cooperative Chess Coalition ( CCC ), as previously posted, has ceased operation under its current constitution, it is in the midst of restructuring discussions, and a vote on adopting the restructuring proposal will be being carried out between April 9 - 16 ( one week ). In the interim, it has been decided that CCC will, however, continue its goal of raising important chess issues for discussion on its FB chess discussion page " CCC - Chess Posts of Interest ". The above post is a copy of the post on that page.

We will be announcing the results of these internal discussions in due course, hopefully by April 21.
