Attendance is modest with the IM group having the unusual 7 IMs and 3 candiate IMs. Presumeably players are recovering from the just completed Spring Open. FM-A group is much smaller and weaker than usual. The FM groups are where the most blatent tourist price-gouging takes place.

There are two other non-FS tournaments on the schedule that I will play in. One is a 7-round Open G/90 hosted by my team. The other is the Torokves RR at the Torkoves Community center (1 game/ day G/120). Both cost a fraction of FS round robins.

    GM
Varga, Zoltan GM HUN 1. 2440
Simonian, Hrair GM ARM 2. 2469
Cebalo, Miso GM CRO 3. 2442
Rajlich, Iweta WGM POL 4. 2422
Flumbort, Andras Dr. GM HUN 5. 2530
Estrada Nieto, Julian IM MEX 6. 2306
Bach, Matthias FM GER 7. 2315
    Rodriguez Lopez, R IM ESP 8. 2266
    Szabo, Bence HUN 9. 2317
Fodor, Tamas Jr. IM HUN 10. 2482

    IM
Eperjesi, Laszlo Dr. IM HUN 1. 2206
Farago, Sandor IM HUN 2. 2296
Galyas, Miklos IM HUN 3. 2445
    Kislik, Erik A. IM USA 4. 2403
    Vrhovnik, Damir CRO 5. 2124
    Melkonyan, Vardan ARM 6. 2230
    Padhya, Saumil IND 7. 2187
Szeberenyi, Adam IM HUN 8. 2305
Szalanczy, Emil IM HUN 9. 2249
Lengyel, Bela IM HUN 10. 2257

Farago, Lengyel and Szkabczy are the usual FS house IMs. The very strong IM Galyas just won the Spring Festival Open. He usually plays when his student Kantor,G plays.

    FMA
    Schupack, Jesse 1. USA
    Juracsik, Jozsef 2. HUN 2147
    Nadassy, Attila 3. HUN 2062
    Waisberg, Arnold 4. ISR 2023
    Havaskori, Laszlo 5. HUN 1977
    Wang, Xinyue 6. CHN 1954

It's not usual for an unrated to play in the FMA group.

    FMB
    Schmidt, Wolfgang 1. GER
    Mayer, Istvan(FM) 2. FM HUN 2063
    Szabo, Miklos 3. HUN 1355
    Lukacs, Albert 4. HUN 1735
    Berta, Sandor 5. HUN 1895
    Holtzmann, Sonny R. 6. USA 1668

FM Mayer is a FS house player who usually plays in FM-A. He gets shunted around to raise the ave rating of a group to an 'acceptable' level

Correction: The small open is rounds not 7.
The entry fee for the Rakosmente wass <CAN$5 or 3.7EUR for >2000FIDE net of my discount as a Rakosliget team member.

Now that's a bargain!! Unfortunately, there is another chess tournament elsewhere in the city at the exact same time as well as a national scholastic championship.

Too much chess in Budapest at the same time.
